Patterson Pass Water Treatment Plant Improvements

Project Details

Water treatment plant improvements will expand plant wide capacity from 13 to 40 million gallons per day. The facility uses Ozonation to treat drinking water. The benefits of Ozone treatment are numerous, inlcuding the reduction of potentially harmful Disinfection ByProducts (DBPs) and Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) such as cyanotoxins, endocrine disruptors, and pharmaceuticals. Process improvements include Ozone equipment, a new traditional activated carbon six bay filter structure, chlorine contact tank, multi-purpose finish water pump station, five million gallon steel clearwell, and a new detention basin/pump station to manage all recycle process water flows.
