Modernizations of an existing water pollution control plant with a peak flow of 40 million MGD. This is the largest public works project ever for the City of Sunnyvale, CA. It includes over 10 miles of piping and more than 140 pieces of mechanical equipment. Scope covers construction of a screening facility, grit and screenings handling facility, a new influent pump station, grit basins, primary sedimentation tanks, chemically enhanced primary treatment facility, odor control facility, and a new headworks electrical building. A new distributed control system (DCS) is also being provided.
