Dublin San Ramon Wastewater Treatment Plant

Project Details

The Dublin/San Ramon Wastewater Treatment Plant Stage 4 Improvements project was designed to increase capacity to 17 MGD. Construction included extensive renovations and additions to the existing wastewater treatment plant. New facilities included headworks, influent sewer, blower buildings, aeration basins, secondary clarifier and odor control.  Challenges included the renovation and addition to 75% of the operational facility without limiting ongoing plant capacity.

  • 206,000 sq. ft. of facilities
  • Exposed architectural finishes on cast-in-place concrete building structure
  • Complex interrelated building systems such as security monitoring and alarm, energy management, telecommunications, data distribution and other
  • Phased work, allowing Owner occupancy prior to completion of project
