Design and construction of a 238,800 SF cast-in-place parking structure connected to a Medical Office Building (MOB), which was constructed simultaneously by another general contractor. Careful coordination of the parking structure façade with the adjacent medical office building was critical. The six-level (two below grade), 531 stall parking structure included a 3″-6″ thick mat slab foundation. We placed 5,339 CY of concrete for the foundation over a 24-hour period. This required 594 deliveries – one every 1.6 minutes with 66 mixer trucks. We self-performed the foundations and placing of all vertical concrete. The structural system includes short and long span bays with retail space on the ground level.
