Design and construction of a 231,000 SF cast-in-place garage adjacent to a concurrent hospital expansion. The five-level, 670 stall facility features a compressed pallet of materials and colors for an overall architecture consistent with the existing hospital campus and adjacent residential properties. A combination of perforated precast panels and a stainless steel screen limit light overspill from the facility into the surrounding areas. The low-profile parking structure was designed to be terraced into the sloped site. Extensive coordination and planning measures were required with the multiple adjacent general contractors working on the new hospital expansion and to ensure patient and staff access to the main hospital throughout construction.
