Overaa is currently building this new 216,400 SF, six-level, 604 stall parking structure. The construction type is post tensioned cast-in place-concrete. Overaa’s expertise in self-performing the formwork for the parking structure allow us to deliver the project quicker, with increased control over quality and safety.
The parking structure is adjacent to a medical office building (MOB) that is also under construction. As a schedule quality control improvement for the project Overaa is building the stair towers ahead of the structure three floors at a time. This reduced the schedule duration after the parking structure concrete is topped out and also eliminates quality control issues since the concrete is poured to the steel stair that is already in place. This allows sitework around the parking structure to be not delayed by the stair install, providing the flexibility needed for site utility and improvement scopes and adjacent MOB construction sequencing.
Our design-build team provides a complete and thorough approach to delivering the design and construction of the parking structure so the MOB general contractor can focus on delivering the MOB. This provides the best value to the Owner. We have successfully executed this model on several projects, and as a result, we have a streamlined process for design and construction providing a turn-key solution to: architectural needs; site logistics; schedule; quality control, and safety.
