UC Berkeley’s Field Annex Project, known as the Surge Building, is a four building complex on campus. It serves as the temporary home for Cal’s Pacific Film Archives Theatre. The project includes classrooms, lecture rooms, breakrooms and an auditorium. The design-build project used innovative pre-engineered metal building material to keep the project cost down and complete the project on a fast track schedule.
