Construction of a new 22,700 SF theater complete with stage, 452 seats, drama classroom, green room, restrooms, conference room, and department offices. The new theater features a large, state-of-the-art auditorium with recessed tiered concrete seating structure, orchestra pits, acoustical paneling, modern A/V system, sound control booth, rigging, curtains, and smoke hatches. Sound-rated acoustical doors and acoustic treatments allow performances in the main auditorium and performances in the smaller drama performance space without sound transfer. Radiant floor heating and cooling utilized. There is a level walk path from the back of the auditorium, through its center, to the stage which provides enhanced accessibility and avoids wheel chair lifts. The building is designed for net zero certification.
