Construction of a LEED Gold designed theater building. Scope included demolition of seven existing site structures. We excavated the hillside at the site of the former café and dressing rooms to create space for the basement-level undercroft of the new building. The new facility houses the actors’ dressing rooms, green room, theater store, concessions, and ADA compliant restrooms. Environmentally sensitive construction featured slab on grade with wood framing, structural steel support, cast in place concrete walls, and a living/green roof. New site improvements included a fire suppression system, 50,000 gallon fire water tank, new transformer, paving, site concrete, and landscaping.
