The lease-leaseback project consists of modernization to the existing Washington Elementary School for the Oakland Unified School District. The project consists of a 42,340 sq.ft. building on two main levels with the Cafeteria in a basement below. Program includes fourteen (14) core classrooms, auditorium, library, warming kitchen, administrative and support spaces and a licensed kindergarten. Overaa provided preconstruction and construction services. The scope of work included site work, electrical systems upgrade, fire alarm replacement, interior fi nishes and window replacement, plumbing and accessibility upgrades. The project will be a California High Performance School (CHPS) verified project. This project will apply for a HighPerformance Incentive (HPI) grant from the State of California.
