Chevron Richmond Lubricants Plant Seismic Retrofit Phase 1

Project Details

Chevron Richmond Lubricants Plant (RLP) is a large, combined use laboratory and office building constructed in 1947. The mission-critical building distributes lubricant products from the refinery so operations could not be interrupted during construction.  The project included a voluntary seismic retrofit and subsequent ADA upgrades. Work included MEP modifications, and life safety and egress improvements. As part of the structural scope, Overaa installed 14 grade beams under the existing slab and 27 new 3-story shear walls in the operational facility.
