Mike has been with Overaa for since 2001 and specializes in new construction and modernization public education projects with alternative delivery methods such as design-build and lease-leaseback. Mike has managed more than $1B in large and complex K-12 and higher education projects, and delivered over 30 high-quality alternative delivery method construction projects for school districts.

Mike is a DSA expert who thrives on quality control to exceed client expectations and has found millions in constructability options for Owner’s review. He leverages exceptional preconstruction methods and accurate estimates based on his deep knowledge of current market trends to produce significant savings in cost and to find paths to finish early.

Mike is client-oriented, schedule-driven, and skilled at managing a project through all phases. Along with his specialized team of project managers and superintendents, Mike seeks to thoroughly understand programming and project goals as well as student, staff, and community expectations. His team excels at collaboration, lean planning, and collaborating with the DSA. Being the father of four boys has helped Mike hone his superpowers – staying on budget while always remaining calm, cool, and collected.
