Overaa Construction joined San Pablo city officials on Monday, May 14, 2018, to celebrate the groundbreaking for a new state-of-the-art, 42,000 square foot City Hall. This will be one of the city’s largest construction projects to date. This design-build project will replace the City’s existing facilities and help to increase resident engagement and improve city services. Overaa is proud to be teamed with RMW Architecture & Interiors, Buehler & Buehler Structural Engineers, Glumac, BKF Engineers, and RHAA Landscape Architecture + Planning.
The new City Hall will be a two-story concrete tilt-up structure with interior metal framed office spaces throughout. It will include a commercial kitchen, council chambers, and community rooms. Site work will include earthwork, utilities, asphalt paved parking lots, site concrete and landscaping. This will be a LEED-certified project with a 19-month construction schedule. It is estimated to be completed in the Fall of 2019.
