Doug joined Overaa in 2005 and specializes in highly collaborative projects that require team consensus in design, schedule, and client’s program goals and budget to deliver a GMP. He leads a team of project managers and craftspeople well-versed in alternative delivery methods such as design-build and Integrated Project Delivery, and together, they foster a culture of partnering and applying lean principles and the latest technology to projects.
Doug has the uncanny ability to rally people and drive success. He joined Overaa as project engineer and through a series of challenging jobs and his ability to hone in on and meet stakeholder expectations, he quickly grew into the role of Project Director.
Many of Doug’s projects have gone on to receive industry recognition for outstanding achievements in management and craftsmanship, including an ENR “Best Projects” Award for Sufism Reoriented Sanctuary and the International Partnering Institute “Project of the Year” for SFO Firehouse #3.
