Patterson Pass Water Treatment Plant Shifts to Ozonation

Zone 7 Water Agency and Overaa Construction celebrated in a public ceremony the completion of the Patterson Pass Water Treatment Plant modernization and expansion project. This project doubles the amount of treated water the plant can produce from 12 million gallons of water a day to 24 million gallons a day. New ozone treatment capabilities improve the quality of finished water, and a new storage tank boosts storage capacity of treated water by 5 million gallons. New infrastructure within the plant, which has been serving the Tri-Valley area since 1962, improves overall reliability.
