The Belgatos Reservoir Replacement project was recently completed six months ahead of schedule. This project consisted of the construction of the two 2.5 million gallon post tension concrete reservoirs which hold drinking water for the City of Los Gatos. The scope of work included the demolition of the two existing earthen based reservoirs, disposal of arsenic, lead, and asbestos based materials, regrade of the construction site, and improvements to the access road. Although specifications stated we could only build one reservoirs at a time, the Overaa team devised a plan to construct both tanks simultaneously. By redesigning the grading plan, we were able to sequence construction activity to allow our subcontractor, DN Tanks to construct both post-tension reservoirs concurrently. This new grading plan helped Overaa finish early.
