Congratulations to Martinez Unified School District on breaking ground this week on two new facilities — a new Transitional Kindergarten Building at Morello Park Elementary School and a new Auxiliary Gym at Alhambra High School. Overaa and SVA Architects are proud to be the design-build team bringing both facilities to life.
The Morello Park Transitional Kindergarten Building will deliver purpose-built space for the district’s youngest learners. At Alhambra High School, the new Auxiliary Gym gives students a modern facility built for athletics and activities—go Bulldogs!
Both projects are made possible by the Martinez community’s passage of Measure O. Thank you to the voters who invested in these students.
A special thank you to Interim Superintendent Janelle Eyet and Chief Business Official Andy Cannon for joining us at the groundbreaking alongside Board of Education members Brenda Leal, Anne Horack Martin, Courtney Masella-O’Brien, Logan Campbell, and Tania E. Brugger.
Many thanks to our project team — Cumming Group, Thornton Tomasetti, Carroll Engineering and ANLA Associates.
We’re proud to be building for this community.
