The project contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, labor and
material necessary to perform and complete in a good and workmanlike manner the
construction of the DIGESTER REHABILITATION PROJECT PHASE 1, Project No.
45-281.08 as shown in the project technical specifications and plans and in accordance with
the contract documents within 430 calendar days of the project commencement date
specified in the notice to proceed for the project.
The project work is generally described as:
Constructing and commissioning the following components:
A. Demolition of Digester 2 and Digester 5.
B. Demolition of Digester 1 (Bid Alternate A).
C. Addition of a sludge thickening facility with three owner furnished skid-mounted rotary
drum thickener (RDT) systems.
D. Purchase of skid-mounted RDT systems through contract assignment (Bid Alternate B).
E. Addition of a slab-mounted dual-membrane digester gas holder.
F. Relocation of an existing grinder and installation of a new grinder.
G. Select piping and valve modifications to existing sludge, water, and digester gas lines.
H. Modification of affected electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA items to accommodate
select project components described above.
I. Repair and reconstruction of existing facilities affected by the Work and all Work necessary
to render the facility complete and operational.
