Jerry is the heart and soul of Overaa Construction. He makes Overaa feel like family. There is never a problem he can’t solve or a technical challenge he won’t roll up his sleeves to figure out. There is no pretense with Jerry — just a down-to-earth, straight shooter who works harder than anyone we know.
Jerry first joined the firm in 1966 after receiving an M.S. in civil engineering from Stanford University. Under his leadership, Overaa grew from an annual dollar volume of $10 million in 1974 to $400+ million today.
Part of Jerry’s life’s work is to give back to the community and industry, which he has done in spades. He is Co-Chairman of the Northern California Carpenters Pension and Annuity Trust and is a Trustee of the Laborers Pension and Health and Welfare Committees. He has championed and serves as Chairman of the Construction Employers Association’s (CEA) Construction Management University Grant Program, which has provided $4M+ to northern California Universities. He is a member of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design Advisory Committee.
