Description

This Contract includes furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to demolish three (3) grit classifiers,
install two (2) owner-furnished grit washers and control panels, removing and replacing five (5) ownerfurnished
grit pumps, installing five (5) owner-furnished VFDs, providing all associated equipment
including plug valves, piping, conduits, wires, seal water system, and equipment connection fittings, and
providing the mechanical, structural, instrumentation and electrical retrofits necessary to configure the grit
washers and grit pumps as shown on the plans and specifications. Two bid alternates are included to
replace 45-degree bends in Gallery A and to remove and replace an 8-inch grit overflow pipe and fittings.

 

The successful bidder will have three-hundred eighteen (318) calendar days to substantially complete the
project from the date identified in the Notice to Proceed.

An optional pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Wednesday October 15, 2025 at CMSA’s Administration Building at 1301 Andersen Drive in San Rafael, California.

 

A site visit prior to bidding is mandatory. A site visit may be conducted by the Contractor at its convenience prior to the preparation of its bid if the Owner is notified at least 24 hours in advance.

Electrical Subcontractor Qualifications are due with bid.
