We are proud to announce that San José Cogen Wastewater Facility has received a DBIA National Award of Merit. Located in San José, CA, this progressive design-build project replaced aging cogeneration equipment for one of the largest wastewater treatment facilities in the western U.S. The new facility not only powers the entire San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility, but also increases plant capacity 27%, enhances the plant’s entire emergency system, and provides flexibility to use no natural gas—key to supporting the City’s greenhouse goals. We congratulate our project team, partners, and the City of San José on the successful execution of this complex project, and many thanks to DBIA for the wonderful recognition.
