The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Sacramento Section, awarded Overaa with the WASTEWATER PROJECT OF THE YEAR 2012 for the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant for the City of Atwater Wednesday night, February 20, 2013 in Sacramento, CA.
The Atwater Bert Crane Wastewater Treatment Plant was a $42 Million greenfield construction of a new 6 MGD treatment plant including an oxidation ditch and clarifiers, aqua aerobicscloth disc filters, ultraviolet and aerobic digesters. Extensive site work included over 500 precast piles and building site upgrade to provide 100 year flood protection.
The Overaa team included Jeff Naff, Dan Holdren, Ben Brown, Kevin Avalos, Carol Quink and Estelle Cragholm.
