The work to be done includes:
In general, the work consists of construction of a new 6.0 million gallon AWWA
D110 Type I, strand-wound, prestressed concrete reservoir (Skyview Reservoir
and the associated facility. The work includes but is not necessarily limited to:
Demolition of the existing reservoir (Skyview Reservoir 1),
Installing and maintaining erosion and dust control, and storm water
pollution prevention
Dewatering
Earthwork cut, fill and compaction
Site excavation and material movement
Geotechnical investigation after existing tank has been demolished and
debris removed from site.
Testing of the existing soils for hazardous material contamination.

Structural concrete tank foundation
Structural concrete tank walls, roof and vaults
Tank Liner System
Steel Ladders, guardrails, handrails, hatches, and tank penetrations,
Steel piping, valves, supports, and fittings
Air vents, exhaust fans, pumps, mechanical mixers, sensors, and tank
accessories
Paintings, coatings and pipe cathodic protection system
Concrete and Asphalt paving, AB base and subbase preparation
Curb and gutter, and storm drainage system
Miscellaneous Concrete
Steel water lines, fittings and supports
Site sewer pipe system
Foundation subdrain system
Tank electrical, cabling, transmitters, instrumentation and controls
systems
Exterior site lighting, light poles and enclosed vault lighting
Gate controllers, card readers, cameras and facility security system
Fencing, automatic gates,
Site cleanup and site restoration
The work includes all tie-ins, reconnections, miscellaneous fittings, potholing, soil
testing and investigations, rough and finish grading, backfill, temporary shoring,
miscellaneous steel fabrication, site security, carpentry, rough and finish electrical
work, installing an off-site potable water main located in Goheen Circle, and all
other work and facilities necessary or incidental to construct the completed
improvements as set forth in the plans and specifications and as directed by the
Water Director or her designee.
This project is subject to A Project Labor Agreement (PLA).
Time of completion of the work is 730 calendar days from the date of issuance of the
written notice to proceed by the City.
