Description

The Nitrogen Removal Phase 1 Improvements Project
includes the following work:
• Upgrades to existing Aeration Basins 1 through 4 including construction of new
concrete baffle walls, repair of existing concrete and concrete joints, replacement
of existing aluminum handrail and aluminum planking, replacement of the
aeration diffusers and air drop legs, installation of submersible mixers,
replacement of existing spray water piping, replacement of existing valves, and
other miscellaneous improvements.
• Construction of a new Aeration Basins Electrical Building to supply power to the
new and existing equipment at the aeration basins.
• Electrical and controls work including the installation of power distribution
equipment, ductbanks, pullboxes, conduits wire, field devices and instruments
and testing and integration of all new and modified equipment.
• Civil work including replacement of existing paving and construction of new
paved areas.
• All other work shown and specified within the Contract Documents.

The WORK must be completed within Nine hundred (900) calendar days.

Bid Walk

PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND VISIT TO WORK SITE: Prospective bidders are invited
to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and walk through of the proposed work site,
which will be conducted by the ENGINEER at 10:00 AM on April 17, 2025. The object
of the conference and walk through is to acquaint bidders with the site conditions and to
discuss the WORK. Bidders shall meet at OWNER office at 1010 Chadbourne Road,
Fairfield, CA 94534. Attendance at the pre-bid conference and walk through is
mandatory for the contractor to be qualified to bid on the project.

Requirements

FEDERAL/EPA PROJECT FUNDING REQUIREMENTS: All iron and steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project shall be produced in the United States as required within the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act.
