Alok has a 25-year track record of working with Fortune 500 companies including Caterpillar, General Electric, General Motors, and DuPont, achieving zero injuries, operational excellence, and cost-efficiency. He leads Overaa in developing environmental, health, and safety plans, achieving consensus on plan objectives, and identifying and leading initiatives that challenge traditional thinking. He has been instrumental in reducing workers’ compensation costs, and as of 2020, decreasing injury/illness rates by approximately 50% to a world-class .66 EMR rate.
As Corporate Safety Director, Alok has overall responsibility for the management of Overaa’s safety program, developing strategies and best practices company-wide. He guides and directs staff in improving and reinforcing the safety culture by proactively identifying hazards and assessing risks to health and safety, putting appropriate safety controls in place, and providing advice and expertise on accident prevention and occupational health. He ensures awareness of all safety policies and continually updates them as part of our continuous improvement efforts.
Alok actively participates in the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), National Security Council (NSC), and Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center conferences. And, he plays a mean game of tennis.
