Description

This project includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, and temporary construction required to perform and complete all work for the Digester 3 Rehabilitation and Digester Gas Piping Replacement Project (CIP #9244) project as shown and specified in the contract documents. Work shall include all material, labor, equipment, and apparatus, whether specifically mentioned or not, necessary to complete the specified work.
Work includes but is not limited to:

a. Removal of existing protective coatings and providing new protective coatings.
b. Removal and replacement of an existing coated foamed roofing system on a steel digester cover.
c. Removal of existing piping, equipment, and supports and installation of new piping, equipment, and supports including valves, fittings, and digester gas management equipment.
d. Replacement of the perimeter seal on an existing fixed, steel digester cover.
e. Construction of miscellaneous electrical and controls improvements.
f. Modification of existing digester cover support brackets.
g. Spot repair of existing protective coatings.
h. Spot repair of existing concrete.
i. Installation of aluminum grating and support systems.
j. Installation of temporary digester gas piping.
k. Lining of existing piping.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation is encouraged.

Substantial Completion of this Project shall be completed within 350 (three hundred and fifty) consecutive days from the date established in the Notice to Proceed for the commencement of Contract Time.

Requirements
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation is encouraged. Funding for this project is expected to be provided in full or in part by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) through an agreement with the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and Silicon Valley Clean Water and/or the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) through an agreement with the US EPA and Silicon Valley Clean Water. Contractor and all subcontractors shall fully comply with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to the following included in these specifications

Copies of the Contract Documents are on file and available for public inspection in the SVCW Secretary’s Office, 1400 Radio Road, Redwood City. The Contract Documents may be purchased at the Barker Blue Office located at 363 North Amphlett Blvd., San Mateo, California 94401, (650) 696-2100 for a non-refundable charge of approximately $90 for a hard copy or $35 for an electronic copy. Contract Documents will be mailed for an additional charge. Partial sets of Contract Documents are not available from the Authority.
