Description

The Project generally consists of major renovation in an operating industrial facility and includes demolition, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls upgrades for the Sludge Dewatering System, Multiple Hearth Furnaces, Wet Scrubber and Air Pollution Control, Seismic Strengthening, and related Facilities.

 

Duration: The WORK must be completed with 1,460 calendar days

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise: DBE/DVBE/MBE/WBE/SBE participation is encouraged.

ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTOR’S EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS are due with bid see specification 00 40 50.

Pre-Bid Conference: Pre-Bid Meeting with Site Inspection

A pre-bid meeting with site inspection will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 9:00

AM, in the District’s Multi-Purpose Room. The District and their consultants will present

the scope of work, work constraints, project funding and bid submission requirements

during this meeting and then inspect the project site.

Bidders and Prospective Bidders and Sub-Bidders can access the pre-bid meeting

minutes at their convenience by logging on to PlanetBids,

http://www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=14663# after they are

made available by the District. Subcontractors bidding on this Project are encouraged

to access the meeting minutes.

Follow-up Pre-Bid Site Inspections

Follow-up site inspections will be made available for all Bidders, Subcontractors, or

other interested parties after the pre-bid meeting. All Bidders are required to visit the

Project Site prior to submitting their sealed Bid. Site Inspections will be by appointment

only. Appointments will only be available on an individual basis on Tuesdays,

Wednesdays and Thursdays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., beginning May 16, 2023. To

Site visits are mandatory for Bidders. Site visits are not mandatory for Subcontractors,

but Subcontractors may also visit the Project Site by appointment only.

Central San will require the following for all prospective Bidders who request a site visit

(by appointment only):

  • All persons must notify Nathan Hodges by email or phone no later than three (3)

business days prior to the site requested visit. No person will be allowed to access

the site unless they provide this timely notification to Central San.

Limit of ten (10) persons per prospective Bidder or Sub-Bidder are allowed per visit

to the Project Site. Contact Nathan Hodges if additional accommodations are

needed.

  • All visitors must wear a hardhat and appropriate footwear.
  • All visitors must follow guidelines of the Contra Costa Health Services related to

COVID-19.

  • All visitors must fill out the Central San’s Covid Symptom Check Sheet on the day

of the visit, if Covid protocols are required.
