The work in the base bid includes mobilization, demobilization, procurement and
installation of materials for the following:
This Contract covers rehabilitation work to the North Secondary Clarifier at the
Vallejo Flood and Wastewater District Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope of
work includes, but is not limited to, the following: replacement of the existing
fiberglass launder covers with aluminum launder covers; removal of existing
access stairwell and replacement with new stairwell and platform that facilitates
temporary stairwell installation; replacement of the clarifier drive, mechanism
motor, and disconnect switch; replacement of energy dissipating unit (EDI) and
centerwell; replacement of miscellaneous secondary clarifier components (e.g.
squeegees, sprayers, etc.); preparation and repainting metallic components
within clarifier (sludge header and collector arms, center column, etc.) and
catwalk; replacement of scum wet well piping, valves, and pump; replacement of
clarifier drain valve; repairs to the catwalk bearing plate; concrete repairs within
the clarifier; installation of wire and conduit; replacement of the existing
impressed current cathodic protection system with a new passive galvanic anode
cathodic protection system.
