This is an Overaa project.
Scope:
The project scope includes demolition  of one (1) existing school building and the removal of fourteen (14) relocatable on the existing Achieve Academy campus, the construction of a new, 2-story, wood frames, fully sprinklers classroom building (building B), and limited improvement to the existing school building on 17th St. (building A).  Building B is approximately 22,000 SF, includes 19 standard classrooms, 1 flex room, and associated administrative and support spaces.  The existing building A is an approximately 27,000 SF modernization includes accessibility and barrier removal improvements at toilet rooms and minor changes at classrooms.  Site work includes new play areas and staff parking lot.
Schedule:
Start – May 2023
Finish – August 2024
Skilled & Trained Labor Force and Prevailing Wage requirements.
EFCPS’ Facility Use Agreement with OUSD states that the project will make its best efforts to comply with District Administrative Regulation and Board Policy 7115 (‘Capital Program / Construction Related Local, Small Local and Small Local Resident Business Enterprise Program, and Board Policy’), shall adopt a local and hiring local small business participation program, and agree to at least 25% local hiring/local business participation for all improvements.
Participation is also encouraged from small, women and minority-owned and local businesses (located in Oakland, CA).
