The Tahoe Forest Hospital District awarded the Overaa/Geney-Gassiot JV this OSHPD hospital project. Application of Phasing & Disruption Planning Model was used throughout duration of project. Several phases that included the addition of a Central Utility Plant. The Central Plant was built to provide utility support to the new Western Addition. It included the installation of a new 750KW emergency generator system and its associated ATS\'s, new steam plant powered by a sequence of (5) individual steam boilers, 6 new hot water boilers, new medical gas system, and all associated water treatment equipment, piping, pumps, etc.
The Western Addition Remodels (Phase 2A) was work performed to the existing buildings adjoining the new Western Addition structure providing seismic and snow load upgrades at all points of interface. Approximately 6,000 square feet of the existing hospital was renovated. Renovation incorporating an MRI Suite, Women?s Imaging Center, Outpatient Surgery Center, Kitchen Grill/Pine Street Cafe, Shear Wall Project (OSHPD), Donor Wall, Lobby Floor Upgrade.
Construction was slab-on-grade, light and heavy gauge metal framing with braced seismic frames, cement-plaster exterior, metal framed roof with steel decking and built-up membrane roofing. Hospital facility constructed around on-going Owner operations.
