The Walbridge Overaa Joint Venture completed design and construction services for this new Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC), Army Reserve Regional Readiness Sustainment Command Headquarters (RRSC) and Fitness Center. There are a total of 3 buildings at the 30-acre site. The project is pursuing Gold SPiRit/LEED Silver rating. The Fitness building provides administrative, meeting, physical training space, equipment and outdoor physical activity spaces and includes a gymnasium and 225-seat theater. It is located across the street from the NASA AMES Research Center. Also included in the project were the Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS) Facility and the UNIT/UHS Storage Building. The OMS is used for vehicle maintenance and training, and associated locker and shower spaced for vehicle maintenance personnel. The two Storage functions (heated and unheated) provide bulk storage space for the Users' equipment and arms-vaults for security needs.
