Aragon High School Theatre

The Aragon High School Theatre Project for the San Mateo Unified School District involves construction of a new theater building with a three-story steel structure over a partial concrete basement with additional catwalk levels and over 23,000 sqft of occupied space.  The 615 seat theater is complete with a state of the art theatrical fly loft, theatrical lighting and sound systems, theatre follow spot and control booths, mechanical and technical galleries, audience chamber with upper balcony seating, theatrical maple side panels and maple ceiling cloud system, orchestra pit with sound reflectors. In addition to the state of the art theatre, the building also includes classrooms, offices, equipment bay and storage, restrooms, formal lower and upper lobbies, concessions stands, and extensive site improvements including ornamental structural steel loading gates, exterior steel staircase, structural steel canopies at all elevations, vehicular concrete, a north and south concrete plazas with cantilevered overhangs, ramps, retaining's walls, walks, and softscapes.
