Overaa uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) to lead the collaboration effort on a project. By using three-dimensional, dynamic building modeling software, such as Revit or Navisworks, we can eliminate many uncertainties found in the field. Engaging the design team and design-build subcontractors to work in a shared BIM platform supports early collaboration among stakeholders. We use the latest and greatest technology to allow our teams to leverage their deep construction and project knowledge. Ultimately, the use of virtual building technology results in a more accurate and predictable construction process.

During preconstruction a major Value Engineering effort was undertaken to remove approximately $900,000 from the budget without significant change to the project program or appearance. In spite of numerous setbacks, Overaa met the client’s aggressive, 13 month schedule, and at close-out provided the client with a refund of $284,000 below the established Guaranteed Maximum Price.
