Earlier this month, our project team at Contra Costa County’s West County Health Center (WCHC) hit a major milestone when they topped-off and set the last steel beam. The design/build project consists of a 20,700 SF building area expansion. The new children/adult behavioral health clinics will be two stories above grade with a drop-off area and accessible parking stalls. Improvements include a standalone structure with a covered walkway to the existing WCHC, a shared outdoor courtyard with WCHC, and new service yard for trash/recycling containers and mechanical equipment. This facility will house behavioral health clinics relocating from their current location in Richmond. No inpatient services will be involved at this project. This is a LEED Silver and OSHPD 3 project. The project is expected to be complete by May 2020.
