Estimating and Pre Construction work at Overaa is fast moving, interesting, and can make a huge difference in our success. 60 % of our work is hard bid and 40% or so is negotiated or acquired by other than a pure low bid basis. . The work is in a team environment – assist a senior estimator, solicit subs, bid strategy , take off , or pre construction –i.e. develop a project from an early stage and adding value- sometimes design build , sometimes design assist, but always adding value to the customer.

Senior Accountant |

Reports to: Assistant Controller
Full-time, exempt position
The Senior Accountant, together with the Assistant Controller and CFO/Controller, collectively are responsible for the general accounting function within C. Overaa & Co. (“Overaa), which includes general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis, office (“confidential”) payroll, account reconciliations, treasury function and various other corporate financial duties.
The following section describes the primary responsibilities, as seen today, and may be subject to change as necessitated by the dynamic environment of the company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•Processes the bi-weekly office (“confidential”) payroll for approximately 100 employees; maintains summary records of employee compensation
•Administers the Company’s job bonus program, including maintaining the job bonus database, calculating and generating employee bonus statements and generating employee bonus payments
•Maintains the petty cash fund, including distribution and reconciliation of petty cash
•Responsible for all accounting pertaining to the job site checking accounts (similar to petty cash)
•Assists in the preparation and distribution of bi-weekly project reports, project “dashboards” that summarize key financial and operational data on each of Overaa’s construction projects
•Responsible for record-keeping associated with Overaa’s various deferred compensation and profit sharing accounts
•Prepares various general ledger account reconciliations and analyses
•Prepares annual city business tax (business license) returns; processes license and tax payments and maintains records
•Prepares monthly labor burden journal entry
•Assists in preparation of various schedules and information necessary for the annual audit
•Assists CFO/Controller and Assistant Controller with various special projects, as necessary
•Provides back-up, where possible, when the Assistant Controller or CFO/Controller is absent |

Project Assistant |
| |
Project Assistants (PAs) are key members of the Project Team and provide critical support to the planning and management of projects in a wide range of activities as assigned by the Project Manager or Supervisor. Duties include inputting correspondence, submittals, and job startup, RFI's and change orders, in addition to general administrative functions. Project Assistants may be assigned to either the project field office and or the main office, depending on specific assignments.

Optimal qualifications include 2-year associate degree in accounting and two years experience as a Project Accountant on projects of similar size.

Project Engineer |

We are looking for multiple candidates with 1 to 7 years experience in industrial or municipal construction for positions in several Central Valley projects. Project Engineers are responsible for assisting the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in the planning, management and administration of projects including project scheduling, shop drawing and submittal review, estimating and jobsite visits. |

Qualifications:
Computer literacy, with proven ability to learn and use basic computer tools on a regular basis. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Field experience, and/or the desire to work in a field environment to help build the job.

| |
Have a "hands on" knowledge of building systems
Manage and schedule subcontractors

Prepare, maintain and manage job schedule
Maintain a safe workplace. Strong sense of urgency - bring in projects on time and on budget. Review all drawing, specifications and subcontractor submittals.
Assure work quality; set standards for quality control
